Frequently asked questions about online English lessons
How long is an English lesson and how does it differ from a standard private lesson?
One English lesson from an EasyPass package lasts 60 minutes. Standard private lessons booked individually through a teacher profile last 45 minutes. Besides the longer duration, packages are designed as a continuous programme that adapts to your level, pace and learning goal.
What do I get when I buy a package of online English lessons?
The package covers individual 60-minute lessons with a teacher, a personalised learning plan, materials that follow the lessons, recordings of the lessons you have taken, priority when booking slots and support from the EasyPass team. You can use the recordings to review your teacher’s explanations and practise between lessons. The period in which you can use the lessons depends on the package you choose. The small package covers 10 lessons to be used within three months, the medium package 20 lessons within four months, and the large package 30 lessons within five months.
How are lessons booked, rescheduled and cancelled?
You choose slots that fit your commitments and your teacher’s availability, and package users get priority when booking. If you want to reschedule or cancel a lesson, you need to do so at least 24 hours before the agreed slot. Otherwise the lesson is counted as held.
Who teaches the lessons and can I change my teacher?
Lessons are taught by experienced, vetted English teachers. The EasyPass platform has more than 4,000 vetted teachers, more than 30,000 lessons held and an average lesson rating of 4.9. Ratings and student comments give you extra insight into teaching quality. If a teacher’s approach does not suit you, you can request a change at any point during the package.
Are online English lessons suitable for beginners?
Yes. Individual online English lessons are open to students of all ages and levels, from A1 to C2. If you are a beginner, your teacher will adapt the plan to what you already know and help you gradually build vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and confidence in communication.
Can I study business or conversational English and prepare for exams?
Yes. The programme can focus on everyday conversation, speaking more fluently, business meetings, presentations, job interviews and writing business emails. Preparation for IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge exams is also available. EasyPass provides exam preparation but does not issue international certificates.
How much do online English lessons cost and how do I choose the right package?
Current prices, the number of lessons and the period in which you can use them are set out in the Choose the package that fits your goal section. You choose a package based on your level, your goal, the time you have available and the learning pace you want. Payment in instalments is also available.
Does EasyPass offer online lessons in other languages and subjects?
Yes. Besides English, there are online German language lessons, online French language lessons, online Italian language lessons and online Spanish language lessons. On the platform you will also find teachers of mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, history and other natural and social sciences.
